“ Testimonianza alla luce “. Domenica ‘Gaudete’.
Le letture di questa domenica ispirano gioia : dalle parole del profeta Isaia, c’è l’annuncio messianico di liberazione – anno di grazia che trasforma la vita dei poveri ed oppressi -; da quelle di San Paolo alla comunità di Tessalonica, come attendere e prepararsi ad accogliere il Signore,- non affanno ed angoscia, ma con animo lieto, umile ed operoso -.
Il motivo di questa gioia lo annuncia l’ultimo dei profeti, Giovanni Battista – riconosce di non essere lui il Messia, ma testimone -. Il suo compito consiste solo nell’annuncio ed indicarlo ormai presente nel mondo.
Buona Domenica, accogliamo la testimonianza del Battista: la luce splende nel mondo, il Cristo Signore.

“Testimony to the light”. ‘Gaudete’ Sunday.
This Sunday’s readings inspire joy: from the words of the prophet Isaiah, there is the messianic announcement of liberation – a year of grace that transforms the lives of the poor and oppressed -; from those of Saint Paul to the community of Thessalonica, how to wait and prepare to welcome the Lord – not with worry and anguish, but with a happy, humble and industrious soul -.
The reason for this joy is announced by the last of the prophets, John the Baptist – he recognizes that he is not the Messiah, but a witness -. His task consists only in announcing and indicating that he is now present in the world.
Happy Sunday, let us welcome the testimony of the Baptist: the light shines in the world, the Lord Christ.

“Testimonio a la luz”. Domingo ‘Gaudete’.
Las lecturas de este domingo inspiran alegría: de las palabras del profeta Isaías, surge el anuncio mesiánico de la liberación -un año de gracia que transforma la vida de los pobres y oprimidos-; desde los de San Pablo hasta la comunidad de Tesalónica, cómo esperar y prepararse para acoger al Señor -no con preocupación y angustia, sino con alma alegre, humilde y trabajadora-.
El motivo de esta alegría lo anuncia el último de los profetas, Juan Bautista -reconoce que no es el Mesías, sino un testigo-. Su tarea consiste únicamente en anunciar e indicar que ahora está presente en el mundo.
Feliz domingo, acojamos el testimonio del Bautista: la luz brilla en el mundo, el Señor Cristo.
